Cut-off to qualify for the Northern and Central Region RAAC shows has been moved from May 11, 2008 to May 25, 2008.

DETAILS : The entry closing for the Sonoma CDS Shelly Siegel REMAINS May 18. If you are planning to qualify on the weekend of May 24-25, submit a tentative entry to the Shelly Siegel, stating when and where you intend to obtain the scores for the RAAC. We will not process the entry until your scores are confirmed, but space in the show will be held for you. PLEASE state specifically if you want us to return the entry if you do not qualify, or if you plan to attend the show and ride in the normally scheduled classes.

Our Annual Awards meeting was held this year at Santa Rosa Equestrian Center (formerly Oakridge Stables)at 3184 Guerneville Rd. S.R. The owner, and Chapter Board member, Tracy Underwood, graciously agreed to host this important event. Thank you, Tracy!Members

Q. How to earn a trophy in 2008?
a. two scores from two different judges for FEI awards
b. three scores, two from different judges, for Training through Fourth Level.


The CDS Year End Plates were also be given out at the meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, a stamped self-addressed envelope must be sent to the Chairperson who will mail them. If an envelope is not received within 60 days of the awards meeting, the award(s)will be discarded.

Drawing for 2008 CDS Amateur ClinicKathy Carrick Kathy Carrick was the lucky member who will ride in the amateur clinic, and she was thrilled! She also earned the Black & Blue Award but you will have to ask her about that.

Host of the Northern
Regional Adult Amateur Competion - RAAC

The NORTHERN RAAC show will be held JUNE 6, 7, and 8, 2008 in SANTA ROSA and is hosted by the SONOMA Chapter.This show is a stepping stone for all of our Adult Amateur riders. With the two divisions offered, Elite and Novice, these competitions will provide a special show that could be used as a "practice" run for those Elite riders who will be competing at the Annual Championship Show at LAEC in October 2008. For the novice rider it will provide an alternative championship show type atmosphere for those not yet ready move up to the championship level of competition. Click here for more informaiton.

Sonoma CDS Chapter is proud to present: Erica Poseley Problems Sitting the Trot? Stuck At Your Current Level? Do You Want Better Scores? Develop or Upgrade Your Seat With Erica Poseley! Erica has studied extensively in Germany including lunge training at von Neindorff's. She has also studied with many top judges, instructors and clinicians throughout the United States, and has had advanced training in teaching and communication with Mary Wanless. On an ongoing basis, she trains with with Sandy Howard, Dietrich von Hoppfgarten, and David Hunt. June 14th and 15th Location: Santa Rosa Equestrian Center 3184 Guerneville Rd.
